Tool: DataWrangler

This web based tool is developed by Stanford University's Visualization group . Data Wrangler makes it very easy for someone to manipulate data which can be used by data analysts.

Usually, when we input any data we are also bothered about the formatting and the layout so that the data can be analysed by visual analysis tools.

Data Wrangler combines direct manipulation of visualized data with automatic inference of relevant transforms, enabling analysts to iteratively explore the space of applicable operations and preview their effects.

As per its user study results, Wrangler significantly reduces specification time and promotes the use of robust transforms instead of manual editing.

For detailed info, you can also read the paper published on Wrangler by the Visualization group at Stanford.
