Reaction: Effectively Communicating Numbers

Numbers and quantitative data surrounds us all the time no matter who you are in the organization hierarchy. This paper talks about how effectively you can communicate the quantitative data or the myriad numbers in an effective manner. I agree with the author that one needs some visualization skills if he/she wants to present the numeric data in an effective manner. It depends on how you want to convey to your audience and then choose the form of display like tables, graphs or charts. The author has given a good step by step procedure to recognize the need of the situation and then implement your way of representing the quantitative data. I learned a lot after going through this paper. After this I can make a pretty good decision of how to represent numbers if someone asks me to do so.
