Data: Education Statistics

The National Center for Education Statistics (NCES) is the primary federal entity for collecting and analyzing data related to education.

NCES has a collection of records obtained from several schools and universities all across USA. It includes several statistics like the total number of schools, the total number of pupils, total teachers etc. It also includes other financial information like the total revenue generated, the US national average etc.

NCES also provides tools to visualize the data. The data can be downloaded in a pdf format or normal text format. A very good example of the data can be the statistics of NCSU. The data can tell us how many professors are currently employed, the number of research assistants, the budget distribution and the revenue generated for a fiscal year etc.
