The CDC provides surveillance data on the burden of diabetes and its complications in the United States. The surveillance system also includes county-level estimates of diagnosed diabetes and selected risk factors for all U.S. counties.
The data can be downloaded in the form of excel or powerpoint document. One interesting point about the site is the different type of corresponding data related to diabetes. Obesity level, leasure-time physical inactivity, age, treatment and possible complications are all datas the CDC collect.
Data collection for this project started in 2004 and its intention is to help target and optimize the resources for diabetes control and prevention.
